All-Natural Grassfed Beef from our Certified Organic Farm

Fresh nutrient-rich grass, that's what ruminants (cows) were put on this earth to eat, not grain! Our steers grew at a excellent rate of 2.67lbs per day on our fantastic pastures. How strikingly beautiful these creatures are. We are so blessed that we are around them and get to know them. Ditch grazing! Really helped us out in 2006 for a couple strategic days where pastures were too wet or needed an extra day of rest.

2011 was our 9th harvest year for grassfed beef, and our reputation for excellent quality continues to bring more people to our farm to enjoy our grassfed goodness. With each year, our soils get better, our management gets better, and the quality of our beef does too. We're conveniently located near Stoughton, WI, minutes from Madison, and we'd love to have you come out and see why we, and our customers, think our beef is so very special.

As of November 2011, bulk beef is SOLD OUT, but individual cuts & packages are still available

We have a good supply of individual cuts available at our farm store.

About our Grassfed Beef

  • Please see the many, many reasons why grassfed beef is the only way to eat beef. http://www.eatwild.com
  • Our beef is aged 14 days, and State of Wisconsin inspected. We use Johnson Sausage, Rio WI,  for our beef processing. All roasts & steaks are vacuum sealed for maximum freshness & freezer life. Ground beef is in 1 or 1.5 lb plastic bag tubes.
  • In addition to individual cuts & packages, Bulk beef -- 1/4's, 1/2's, wholes -- ares sold by hanging weight, and the customer pays the processing. Custom cut orders available on 1/2's and larger.
  • Pastured!. Happy, low stress animals mean for the best tasting food -- that you can feel good about. NO GRAIN involved in finishing; only a small amount of grain is used up to 4 months of age in our Jersey/cross calves, at which time their rumens are developed enough to sustain themselves on grass.
  • Mineralized, Balanced soils = high quality, mineralized forages = the healthiest and best possible quality. We have invested well in remineralizing our soil. Learn more about the value of Biological Farming from Midwestern Bio-Ag
  • No antibiotics/growth hormones/any kind of funny business.
  • Our farm is certified organic, which means our grass, hay are as well. For 2011 harvest, 8 are certified organic from our dairy herd, 33 are natural purchased from area farms. All animals once at our farm are treated organically. Our processing differs little to not at all from certified organic, but the processing is not certified at this time. This will not allow us to afix the USDA Organic label to our meat.
  • Come see how we raise our animals, see how we farm. The more you know about how and why we do what we do, the better you're going to feel about buying and eating food from our farm. Nothing is hidden here ever. We look you in the eye when we sell you our food, we like it that way.
  • Do you deserve good food? Do you want farms like ours in Dane county? EVERY DOLLAR YOU SPEND IS A VOTE.

Mineralized, alive soils, excellent quality and diverse forages = quality beef. We don't NEED any GRAIN for our cattle. What's it all about? Protecting our future; our children and yours. Such beauty. Please come see for yourself, feel what great positive energy our farm has -- and you can take home with you. To supplement our pastures in the fall when their growth can slow down, we green chop additional fresh forages from rented ground.
